Wolfish Boy days forever lost
A howl was heard in the distance. Red looked back. She eyed the woods. There were always wolves out now. She carried a basket with her and she was taking a short cut through the woods to her grandmothers house. Her grandmother was soon to die. She didnt want to hear that. Her grandmother was her only joy at this desolate time of her life.
Her feet padded through the damp leaves. She could hear in the distance more padding. She knew. She knew the wolves were after her. Her feet picked up pace and she went bounding now to the path. Her hood fell flat on her back as she ran. Her heart sped. Her eyes watered as the wind picked up, into her face.
And quickly she went down. She turned over as a wolf padded on to her. It stood atop her as though it was king of the mountain. She sensed from the corner of her eyes the pack that surrounded her. She looked back at the wolf. Now its eyes resembled sadness and longing. It started to glow lightly but just enough, and it transformed into a young man. He was around her age and the legend around town was true. The wolf leader was said to pick himself a bride. A bride of red. She looked back on herself and remembered her red hood and cloak. She was the bride? She hadnt thought anything of it when she set off from her town. Everyone stared after her as though she was going to kill herself. Maybe this was why. She came back to the boy that trapped her from any movement. He stared down at her with longing. He also stared down at her with not much understanding of these new limbs. But all the time he stared at her.
She slid, up onto her bum and put a hand on his bare chest. He looked down, obviously feeling the warmth that spread though him. She slipped a hand onto his face. His warmth flowed through her. She gave a shiver of curiosity and the boy looked at her with even more curiosity. He gave a push and his body understood now. He moved towards her. She didnt flinch as he face came closer, warming her again. Her eyes closed for a bit and opened them. He had wolf ears, still but he was cute in his own way. A wolf coat was wrapped around him and now his face was closer to hers.
A kiss seals the deal, Was all that ran through her head as he came closer and closer. Now, his lips centimeters from hers. Hot breath filled her nose and she froze not of fright but of longing. She wanted to know his side of life, why he chose her and now, most of all what would happen to her. His lips came softly onto hers and lay there for a bit as the though of kissing her came full circle in his mind. His lips closed on hers then and a light feeling engulfed them as they sat there for a minute.
When they broke red felt weird and she looked around. Everything was bigger. She looked down on herself and found fur. Fur covering her whole body. She didnt feel frightened but how was she when she couldnt feel her limbs.
Dont worry. This happens when you shift. Youll get used to it, She heard a manly voice come into her head.
Huh?
She thought.
Its okay. Its me. At night we shall not be able to shift but during the day
She looked over at the wolf that had been king of the mountain. He was looking away now, lost in thought.
Sounds fair enough, She thought to him. Maybe he wasnt a wolf. Maybe he was a werewolf with control. She already loved it. How do I shift back. I have to get a few things to my grandmother, Her thoughts drifted from her like melted butter.
Think it. Believe your human and you shall be it, for the most part anyways, He thought to her.
She gave a smile and after a few hard tries did shift back. She walked to her grandmothers , a wolf trailing at her heels.
